Box Tops for Education

Box Tops for Education, started by General Mills in 1996, allows schools to earn money when the school community purchases participating products. Last year, Eagle View earned $1222 from box tops.

Helping out is EASY - simply clip box top coupons, which are worth 10¢ each, off of the packaging on participating products, and then send those coupons to school with your children. You can send the coupons in a sealed envelope or you can print out a collection sheet, which you can paste the labels on. Be sure your envelope or collection sheet is labeled "PTA" and includes your child's name and teacher's name.

Here's what the box tops look like:

NOTE: Valid box tops must show the value amount (bottom, center) and the complete expiration date (lower right) - if you don't see these items, you don't have an actual box top. Expired or photocopied box tops are not honored.

In addition to clipping box tops off the products you buy, you can earn additional funds for Eagle View by entering Box Tops' monthly promotions and sweepstakes, or by purchasing books or other merchandise from participating online stores such as Target, Walmart, and Lands End through the Box Tops Web site.

Box Tops Marketplace

The Box Tops program also has agreements with many of the major retailers (such as Target, Walmart, Old Navy, etc.) - so please consider initiating all your online purchases from the Box Tops Marketplace Web site. When you do, those retailers will donate a percentage of your purchase to Eagle View.

Here's how it works:

• Sign up for a Box Tops account - during this process, you can select Eagle View to receive a percentage of your purchases.
• Check out the list of participating retailers, and select the one from which you want to make your purchase.
• Select the "shop & earn" button to the right of the retailer listing - that will take you to the retailer's online store, and a percentage of whatever you purchase during your visit will be credited to Eagle View.

Labels for Education

For more than 30 years, Labels for Education has been awarding free educational equipment to schools in exchange for proofs of purchase from the Campbell family of brands. The list of participating products includes some kid staples, like Pepperidge Farm (think, gold fish...), Campbell's soup, V8, and Spaghettios, and Prego.

Different products have different point values (1 or 5). Here's an example of a Labels for Education proof of purchase:

Send the labels to school with your children, in an envelope labeled "PTA" and market with your child's name and teacher's name.

Giant: A+ BonusBucks

With A+ BonusBucks, points accrue with each purchase you make using your Giant Card. It even works with purchases made online with Peapod by Giant. At the end of each month, these points are translated into cash, which is automatically credited to Eagle View.

For Eagle View to receive your BonusBucks, you simply need to:

• Sign up for a Giant card next time you shop (if you don't already have one), then
• Register your Giant card online with the A+ program (this is where you can select Eagle View to receive the BonusBucks you earn).

Safeway: eScrip

Safeway's eScrip program, much like Giant's A+ BonusBucks program, allows Eagle View to earn a percentage of all purchases you make at Safeway and Safeway's participating business partners.

For Eagle View to receive a percentage of your purchases, you simply need to:

• Sign up for a Safeway card next time you shop (if you don't already have one), then
• Register for the eScrip program online (this is where you can select Eagle View to receive a percentage of your purchases). NOTE: During the registration process, you can also register other cards, such as your Macy's card, so Eagle View can receive a percentage of those purchases as well.

Harris Teeter: Together In Education

Harris Teeter’s Together In Education (TIE) program is another fund raising program for schools. When you purchase select Harris Teeter Brand products using your VIC card, Harris Teeter contributes a percentage of those purchase dollars to Eagle View.

For Eagle View to receive a percentage of your purchases, you simply need to:

• Sign up for a Harris Teeter VIC card next time you shop (if you don't already have one), then
• Register for the TIE program online (this is where you can select Eagle View to receive a percentage of your purchases) OR register at the store by giving the cashier our school code (8272) next time you check out (this will register your card for the rest of this school year).

Office Depot's 5% Back to Schools

You can help Eagle View earn FREE school supplies when you shop at Office Depot. Simply provide Eagle View's school ID number (70212067) when you purchase any qualifying products (PDF 19 KB), and Office Depot will award Eagle View 5% in merchandise credit. NOTE: this is good for in-store, online, or phone purchases.

Target's Take Charge of Education

With little kids, many of us practically live at Target - and now you can use all those purchases to support Eagle View! When you use your Target card to shop, Target will donate 1% of your purchase to our school.

For Eagle View to receive 1% of your purchase, you simply need to:

• Sign up for a Target Visa credit card next time you shop (if you don't already have one), then
• Enroll your card online on the Take Charge of Education Web site (this is where you select Eagle View).
