Volunteer Opportunities

Below you will find information on current volunteer opportunities at Eagle View. Please consider volunteering a little of your time - your help will make a big difference and your children will greatly appreciate it!

Foreign Language Experience (FLEX) Instructors

We are excited to be able to offer the FLEX program after school this semester - and would love to offer it again next semester. However, in order to do so, we need some enthusiastic individuals to teach the program. Do you speak a language other than English? Do you enjoy working with children? If so, this part-time, paid position might be a great fit for your skills and interests. Curriculum is provided, and no teaching certification or prior experience is required. Please contact Sue Lee to learn more about the program and how you can apply for a position.

School Committees

Eagle View has a series of academic, life skills, parent-school relations, and community responsibility committees that help guide the school in addressing these topics. While the committees are made up primarily of school staff, we would also like to include parents on each committee as well. Each committee meets once a month in the morning before school. Please email Dr. Granada if you are interested so she can help you find a committee that is a good match for you.

Library

We have over 900 students who check out 1-8 books per week, so we are ALWAYS looking for help shelving and checking out books in the library. Are you available on a regular basis, or for an hour now and then? If so, we'd love the help...

Classroom Helpers and Wednesday Envelope Fillers

Teachers use parents to help out with a range of classroom activities; you can work with your child's teacher to find an activity that is a good fit with your skills and interests. Some activities might include working with students on reading and writing, helping with art projects, filling Wednesday envelopes, or filing papers. Teachers are grateful for any amount of time you can give them!

PTA Committee Chairs

Volunteers are also needed to head up several of our PTA committees - and we always need extra hands to help carry out these activities. See our list of PTA committees to find one that interests you.
